What Makes Marble
More Than a Surface
Marble is one of the oldest building materials on earth. It forms deep within the planet, where limestone is transformed by heat and pressure over millions of years into something luminous, dense, and endlessly varied. The result is a stone that carries its history visibly — in every vein, every shift in tone, every subtle cloud of mineral movement.
That is precisely why we love it.
At Gabriella White, home of Gabby and Summer Classics, we believe a home should feel lived-in and layered, not assembled from a catalog. Marble brings that quality naturally. It does not need to be styled into character. It arrives with it.
Not all marble in furniture is equal
Sourcing and Usage
The way stone is sourced, cut, and finished changes everything about how it performs and how it ages. Gabby approaches marble as a design partner, not a surface material. Each piece is designed around the stone's natural qualities — its weight, its cool depth, its tendency to catch and hold light. The result is furniture that feels genuinely considered, not simply capped with stone for effect.
The variety of marble used across Gabby's collection includes creamy white Carrara, warm-veined emperador tones, and cooler grey varieties. Each type creates a very different atmosphere in a room. Our design consultants can walk you through which tones work best with your existing palette.
